UPDATE: 2025 Update of the Constitution for Modified Mini Car Club of South Australia

Thank you to everyone who attended our August General Meeting and partook in the discussions about our proposed 2025 update of our Constitution.

 

Further to the updates advised 28 days before the Special General Meeting (to be held on 9 September 2025), the Committee proposes another change after input at the General Meeting.

 

It is proposed that the number of Full Club Members present to constitute a Quorum be updated to account for the growing membership base. The Committee have agreed with the input from the majority of members present at the General Meeting, and are putting forward a proposal for the number to be reduced to the lesser of 40, or 15% of the Full Members of the Club.

 

As discussed in that General Meeting, a provision has also been drafted to allow for and encourage Proxy Voting in the instance a Full Member of the Club is not able to attend.

 

The proposed wording for these changes is provided below.

Repeating, on 9 September 2025 we will be holding our Special General Meeting to vote on the proposals to update the Constitution. Separate votes will be conducted for the Event and Body Corporate membership change, and for the Quorum and Proxy vote change.

 

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible (don't forget we need 40+ people there to constitute a Quorum for our current membership base).
