Minis At the Mill 2026

Minis at the Mill 2026 is confirmed!

Save the date: Sunday 1 November

Running for over 30 years, Minis at the Mill (MATM) is South Australia’s premier gathering of Mini vehicles (and derivatives) and enthusiasts. It is also one of the largest club-organised events held at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood.

MATM brings together like-minded enthusiasts to share ideas, knowledge, and a passion for one of the world’s most iconic vehicles. From original 850s to race cars, Mokes to modern BMW Minis, daily drivers to concours restorations; there is something for everyone to enjoy.

As always, the event is held annually on the first Sunday in November.

Event Details

  • Entry is $20 per vehicle.
  • Entry includes access to the museum for all occupants and display of your vehicle on the grounds.
  • Occupant numbers must not exceed the vehicle’s legal seating capacity.

There is no requirement for your vehicle to be immaculately presented - MATM celebrates Minis and their derivatives in all forms.

Spectators are welcome and can attend via general admission through the museum on the day.

Best Presented Competition

Entrants can nominate for judging across six categories:

  • Best Presented Original – Pre-2000
  • Best Presented Modified – Pre-2000
  • Best Presented Mini Derivative – Pre-2000
  • Best Presented Competition (All Years)
  • Best Presented BMW Mini (R-series)
  • Best Presented BMW Mini (F-series)

The highest-scoring vehicle across all categories will be awarded Best in Show, with the chance to take home two trophies.

A People’s Choice Award will also be presented, open to any vehicle on display, regardless of competition entry.
Your People's Choice entry form will be provided as part of your entry package and voting is only open to those who display their vehicle.

2026 Activities

MATM 2026 will see the return of some classic crowd favourites - so come prepared (and maybe go easy on the Weet-Bix).

Forgotten activities include:

  • Strong Arm Competition
  • Mini Cram Challenge

Fun fact: The Guinness World Record stands at 27 people in a Mini, set at the 2014 London to Brighton run - with two squeezed into the boot. Think you can beat it?

The loudest exhaust competition, featuring valve-bouncing and bearing-testing, will also return.

A new kids activity will also feature this year - think chalkboard!
