Minis at the Mill - Best Presented Competition

There are 8 categories for entry

If for some reason the judges feel that you have entered the wrong class / category they may approach you and suggest that you would do better in a different category.

Entry to the competition is by completing an entry form availabile at the marquee applicable to the category you wish to enter, then placing the completed form under your wiper by 12.30pm on the day.

All categories / classes are judged on presentation, e.g. the modified category will be won by the best presented modified vehicle, not the most modified vehicle. (Which means, it definitely pays to spend a bit more time on that polish and shine).

The inclusion of each category / class in the year's event will depend on how many entries we get for each class, Hot Bricks may choose not to include a given category if there aren't enough Minis representative and entered into that class / category.

Below are explanations about each class - some classes are self-explanatory, some are a little trickier. If you are still unsure please do not hesitate to speak to someone in the marqee who will be able to guide you.

Original

This class, as per the title, is for original specification vehicles. Be it that the vehicle has been preserved over the years or an authentic restoration, we're looking for the best presented example.

Modified

A popular category for many a rev-head, the vehicles in this class will have a greater level of modifications. Alterations to the engine, body, paint and interior. No two modified minis are the same, and we're here to see them all! From highly polished street cars to rowdy weekend cruisers, there's much to see.

Moke

Originally conceived as a lightweight military vehicle, these roofless, doorless, straightforward vehicles have enjoyed a life of summer fun by their passionate owners for many years. All mokes are welcome, ranging from mild to wild.

Competition

No longer a street car, this is where outright performance comes at all costs. Typically, an elite level racer will be every bit as well presented but with a focus on speed and reliability to survive the rigours of motorsport use.

BMW Mini 'R'

The MINI arrived in Australia in 2001 to much fanfare and quickly became a favourte of many. Classic styling with pin-sharp handling set the scene, and they continue to be enjoyed by many today. R50 Cooper through to R61 Paceman variants are all eligible.

BMW Mini 'F'

These third generation MINIS continue to embody the character of the MINI, some 60-odd years on from the original. F54 Clubman to F60 Countryman vehicles are all eligible.

People's Choice

This category is not restricted to any one type of vehicle, just your vote on the day for your favourite car.

Best in Show

This category is for the highest point scoring car of any category across the day.
